I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THE RAIN IS GONE. SUDDENLY, EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE. NOT TODAY., 2023 (with Hanne Jannasch and Stefanie Hollerbach)

site-specific installation composed of a functioning window wiper, an apple on a pedestal, chains on both doors, white carpet and 2 poster prints at Senatssaal at the Dresden University of Fine Arts, June 28-29, 2023

The three interrelated works  “I can see clearly now the rain is gone.",  "Suddenly, everything makes sense." and "Not today.” were developed for each other and the intervening setting of white carpet covering the usual, dark wooden floor.  Both, the carpet and the floorpan/poster became integral parts of the installation. The view outside onto the river was kept clean by the windshield wiper, the approx. 120 m2 big room was filled by an apple on a pedestal, while it was not possible to enter due to chains on both entrances. The conceptual intervention resembles a humorous comment on itself, as it poetically plays with the visitor’s expectations and the institutional context. The Senatssaal has been used for exhibitions by students since decades, but is not very accessible to an external public.
