DODGING THE CURVE

exhibition with Friedrich Herz at Necessaire, Vienna, Dec 6-8, 2024.

The duo-exhibition opens up a relational space between objects as gestures of avoidance. Similar to the urge of preserving cultural artifacts, we tend to hold onto memories. In a nostalgic manner objects are withdrawn from the course of time and oblivion.

In the projection, dusty analog photographs and text fragments subtly appear on the projection surface, only to fade away again. The vacant gaze in the photographs sinks into melancholic reflections on the passage of time and its monotony.
