The work reminds the limitations in bridging distances by sonically moving from the place you are at to another, undefined place. After mere interference, an airplane as a commonly understood symbol is heard from above, but when standing isolated inside the kiosk it is not possible to look up into the sky. In this context the airplane emerges as an analogy to the radio, which makes you hear another reality, that is ‘breaking’ into your ordinary day as it is transmitting from one place to the other.

A series of sound works from Radio International was transmitted from the 9th floor of the Grand Hotel Prishtina down to the original K67 Kiosk, restored by Ilir Dalipi at Zahir Pajaziti Square. The project was realised in collaboration with students from the Faculty of Arts Prishtina and the Kosovo Amateur Radio Association.
